Richard Ingalls, MA, retried after thirty plus years of leadership and teaching in 2nd and 6th grades, high school advanced placement social science classes, community college technology programs and university educational technology classes. Being trained in Educational Technology at San Francisco State University Mr. Ingalls assisted instructors in creating the most effective means of teaching their classes. He worked with community leaders, district educators, and parents to help put Los Angeles Educational Alliance for Restructuring Now (LEARN) into practice. Schools were to become responsible for the progress made by their students and given the training and freedom to develop tactics to make this happen. Given his formal education in this process, his teaching experience, union leadership and the training he received from LEARN, Mr. Ingalls endeavors to work with others today to build strong learning communities for all who wish to learn.
